Freeze the exact two-unit configuration
Start the RFQ with the exact speaker model and revision, then photograph both units from every side. Record the rigid envelope, feet, handles, connectors and any removable brackets in the transport orientation. The verified catalog confirms the product name and page, but it does not establish dimensions or performance values.
State whether the case must always carry a matched pair or may carry one unit temporarily. Ask the supplier to show separate support and clearance zones for each speaker so a drawing cannot quietly assume two identical, perfectly aligned bodies.
Design the loading sequence before the hardware
Write the real load-out sequence: which speaker enters first, where hands grip, which face stays upright and where the second unit passes the first. Include the available aisle, ramp and truck-pack limits as project inputs rather than generic product claims.
Keep cables, covers and small rigging parts out of speaker contact zones. If accessories must share the case, request a labelled compartment concept and verify that loose items cannot obstruct removal or press against connectors during normal handling.
Approve with a paired fit trial
Require a drawing that identifies both equipment positions, foam contact areas, no-contact surfaces, handle access and lid-removal direction. Review the drawing against dated photos and measurements, then record every assumption that still needs confirmation before fabrication.
At sample review, load and unload the two actual units in the intended order. Check that operators can reach the grips, identify each position and repack without improvising. Treat this workflow result as acceptance evidence; do not claim shock, weather or load ratings unless separate registered evidence exists.
